Terms & Conditions

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using connectlane.com (the “Site”), registering for an event, downloading materials, or otherwise engaging with ConnectLane (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site or services.

These Terms apply in addition to any event‑specific terms, Sponsorship/Exhibitor Agreement, Statement of Work (SOW), or Master Services Agreement (MSA) you sign with us. If there is a conflict, the MSA/SOW takes precedence for the covered services.

2) Who we are & contracting entity

Services are provided by ConnectLane, registered at DIFC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Depending on the service and your location, the contracting entity may be:

  • United Arab Emirates (UAE): [Entity name] (incl. PDPL compliance)

  • Türkiye: [Entity name] (KVKK compliance)

  • Azerbaijan: [Entity name] (Azerbaijan Personal Data Law)

3) Eligibility & accounts

  • You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and have authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization.

  • When creating an account or registering for an event, you must provide accurate, current information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4) Use of the Site; intellectual property

  • All content on the Site—including logos, text, images, video, audio, designs, software, and the “look and feel”—is owned or licensed by us and protected by law.

  • We grant you a limited, revocable, non‑transferable license to access and use the Site for lawful purposes.

  • You may not copy, modify, mirror, resell, scrape, or create derivative works without written permission.

  • Trademarks, service marks, and trade names are our property or that of our licensors and may not be used without permission.

5) Event registrations, tickets & on‑site rules

These terms apply when you register for, purchase, or attend an event operated by us or where we act as producer for a client.

5.1 Registration & confirmations

  • Your registration is complete only after full payment (where required) and receipt of a confirmation email.

  • Tickets are personal to the named attendee unless transfer is permitted by the event page. Substitutions may be allowed up to 7 days before the event by contacting [events@connectlane.com].

5.2 Pricing, taxes & fees

  • Prices are stated exclusive of applicable taxes (e.g., VAT) and processing fees unless indicated otherwise. You are responsible for paying taxes and bank/transaction fees.

5.3 Changes, cancellations & refunds

  • We may change the agenda, speakers, venue, or format (including virtual/hybrid) with notice where feasible.

  • If we cancel the event, you will receive a full refund of ticket fees paid to us.

  • If we postpone the event, your ticket will be valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within 14 days of notice.

  • Except where stated on the event page, tickets are non‑refundable. This does not affect rights you may have under applicable law.

5.4 Code of conduct & entry conditions

  • We aim to provide a safe, inclusive environment. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior is prohibited.

  • We may refuse admission or remove any person whose conduct we deem unacceptable, without refund.

5.5 Accessibility & special requirements

  • Tell us about accessibility, dietary, or other needs at least 10 days before the event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate.

5.6 Health, safety & security

  • You must follow all venue rules and instructions from staff. Bag checks and security screening may apply.

5.7 Photography, recordings & media

  • Events may be photographed, filmed, or live‑streamed. By attending, you consent to being included in images and recordings that may be used for editorial and marketing purposes in any media, unless you opt out by notifying [media@connectlane.com] in advance and collecting an opt‑out badge on site (seating limitations may apply).

  • You may not record or broadcast sessions without written permission.

5.8 Badge scanning & sponsors

  • If your badge is scanned at a sponsor/exhibitor booth or session, you consent to us sharing your registration details with that sponsor/exhibitor, who will be the data controller for their use. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5.9 Visa invitations

  • Upon request and after payment, we may issue an invitation letter. Issuance does not guarantee a visa. You are responsible for your travel documentation.

6) Sponsorships & exhibitors

Sponsors and exhibitors are additionally bound by the Sponsorship/Exhibitor Agreement, technical manuals, and on‑site rules. Placement, benefits, and deliverables are as described in your order form. We may adjust floor plans or benefits of equivalent value for safety or operational reasons.

7) Orders, payments & billing

  • You authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge your payment method for all fees.

  • Invoices are due within 15 days of issue unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may incur 1.5% monthly interest or the maximum allowed by law.

  • We may suspend services or revoke badges for unpaid amounts.

8) User submissions & feedback

  • If you submit ideas, feedback, testimonials, or materials ("Submissions"), you grant us a worldwide, royalty‑free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and display the Submissions in connection with our business.

  • You represent you own or have rights to your Submissions and that they do not infringe third‑party rights.

9) Prohibited activities

You agree not to: (a) violate laws or third‑party rights; (b) upload malware; (c) interfere with security or access controls; (d) scrape or harvest data; (e) resell tickets without authorization; (f) impersonate others; (g) use the Site for competitive intelligence in breach of an NDA.

10) Privacy & cookies

Your use of the Site is subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice, which explain how we collect and use personal data and how you can manage preferences.

11) Disclaimers

The Site, content, and events are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error‑free operation.

12) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including lost profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption), even if advised of the possibility.

Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Site, events, or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) USD 100 or (b) the total fees you paid to us for the specific event or service in the three (3) months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13) Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your: (a) use of the Site or events; (b) breach of these Terms; (c) Submissions; or (d) violation of law or third‑party rights.

14) Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, weather, epidemics, strikes, labor disputes, supplier failures, utility or internet outages, government actions, or venue unavailability.

15) Termination & suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or event participation for actual or suspected violations of these Terms or applicable law. Provisions intended to survive (e.g., IP, fees, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.

16) International use & compliance

You are responsible for complying with local laws where you access the Site or attend events, including import/export controls and sanctions restrictions.

17) Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), excluding conflict‑of‑laws rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the DIFC Courts.

18) Changes to the Site or Terms

We may update the Site and these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

19) Notices

We may send notices by email to your account address, by posting on the Site, or by mail to your last provided address. You may send legal notices to [legal@connectlane.com] and DIFC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

20) Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: These Terms plus referenced policies are the entire agreement for Site use and public event registrations.

  • Severability: If a provision is invalid, the remainder remains in effect.

  • No waiver: Failure to enforce is not a waiver of rights.

  • Assignment: You may not assign without our consent; we may assign as part of a reorganization or sale.

  • Relationship: Nothing creates a partnership, agency, or employment relationship.

21) Definitions

  • “Event(s)” means conferences, summits, exhibitions, roadshows, or experiences produced by us or where we act as producer for a client.

  • “Sponsor/Exhibitor” means an entity purchasing marketing benefits or space at an Event.

  • “Ticket” means a pass, badge, or credential granting access to an Event or portion of an Event.

  • “SOW/MSA” means a Statement of Work or Master Services Agreement separately executed with a client for bespoke services.

Annex A — Event refund model (optional)

  • Super‑early/early/standard tiers: full refund within [7] days of purchase if [≥30] days before Event; after that, substitutions only.

  • Force majeure conversion: tickets convert to the rescheduled date or to an online pass of equivalent value.

  • No‑show: treated as used; no refund.

Annex B — Sponsorship/Exhibitor essentials (summary)

  • Deliverables: as per order form; equivalent substitutions permitted.

  • Logos & assets: provide files by deadlines; late delivery may limit benefits without refund.

  • Build & safety: comply with technical manual, HSE, insurance; late teardown fees may apply.

  • Leads: captured via badge scanning; processing governed by our Privacy Policy and your privacy notices.
